I learned this song years ago from another musician and have no idea of its origins. It's a great song and the little ones pick it really well, knowing when to stop, start and count to four.

I sing this to the tune of Little Boxes, a hit for both Pete Seeger and Malvina Reynolds. It's such a lovely build up with expectation that the children love when playing peek-a-boo. Have fun!

This lovely little song has been around since about 1910 and was written by Felix F Feist and Al Piantadosi for the musical "The Echo". I first discovered it when looking for songs for Valentine's Day and it was recommended to me. It'll work just as well any other day!
